It's very cold and the birds living in my place have no food at all. So I help them in throwing some birds food or crumbs . They enjoy their meals, but they are still afraid of my presence, and when they see me, they fly away. But this tiny and cute sparrow didn't....and looked at me  as he would thank for the food he received...

This beautiful blackbird is maybe helping his companion to nest. Very rare to spot him in my garden...

Il fringuello-Common Chaffinch

I bought some seeds for birds, as we are in the winter season and because there is not too much food to eat in my garden, and every day I usually  throw it on the grass, but I also put it in the little bird box  located on my window sill.

After long , today I spotted a few chaffinches eating my seeds. When I wake up to go to work every early morning, I am always  pleased by their melodious songs. Today it has been a nice feeling when I met them, because I was so upset and so sad  for some problems. Sometimes I think they are Angels sent by the soul of my parents just to protect me and give me all the Love they aren't able to give me anymore in this life on earth...

Meet a new friend!

Back from school in a sunny and warm day, I came in my  house greeted by my two lovely doggie friends, Yuma and Iron. As usual, I did all the things I use to do when.... suddenly, as soon as I opened my bedroom window , I heard a sweet and enchanting bird song, never heard before. I took my camera and ...surprise! That's what I have shot...a colourful and tiny goldfinch. This made really my day.

A new lodger in my garden.

Back from my summer holidays, I found a new mamma merla eating, walking and drinking in my garden. She is young and different from the earlier female blackbirds. She has a nice little feather on her left side and that makes me smiling. I love her, she is a great companion during my work and a lovely break from my hard concentration in completing my scholastic assignments.Anyway, there is not too much life in my garden during this period. And I am waiting for the winter when migratory birds will come and settle down, nesting in my garden.

In my front garden.

Beautiful Seagulls

Non so dove i gabbiani abbiano il nido,
ove trovino pace.
Io son come loro
in perpetuo volo.
La vita la sfioro
come essi l’acqua ad acciuffare il cibo.
E come forse anch’essi amo la quiete,
la gran quiete marina,
ma il mio destino รจ vivere
balenando in burrasca.
Vincenzo Cardarelli
I do not know where the gulls have their nests,
where they can find Peace.
I am like them
in a perpetual flight.
I can skim over the life
as they can catch the food.
And maybe me too,
as they might do, I love the quiet,
The great calm sea,
but my fate is to live
flashing with the storm.

The tiny and cute Robin.

This robin has become a regular visitor of my garden.. He gradually is approaching to my window and me. We would become friends very soon and I hope to offer him food from my hand.

A legend about the robin.
A small brown bird shared the stable with the Holy Family in Bethlehem at  Christmas.
At night, while the family was sleeping, the robin noticed that the fire was dying down.
So he flew down to embers and kept the fire alive with the movement of the wings for all the night, to keep  baby Jesus warm and safe.
In the morning, he was rewarded with a nice bright orange breast as a symbol of his love for the newborn King
