A new lodger in my garden.

Back from my summer holidays, I found a new mamma merla eating, walking and drinking in my garden. She is young and different from the earlier female blackbirds. She has a nice little feather on her left side and that makes me smiling. I love her, she is a great companion during my work and a lovely break from my hard concentration in completing my scholastic assignments.Anyway, there is not too much life in my garden during this period. And I am waiting for the winter when migratory birds will come and settle down, nesting in my garden.

In my front garden.

Beautiful Seagulls

Non so dove i gabbiani abbiano il nido,
ove trovino pace.
Io son come loro
in perpetuo volo.
La vita la sfioro
come essi l’acqua ad acciuffare il cibo.
E come forse anch’essi amo la quiete,
la gran quiete marina,
ma il mio destino รจ vivere
balenando in burrasca.
Vincenzo Cardarelli
I do not know where the gulls have their nests,
where they can find Peace.
I am like them
in a perpetual flight.
I can skim over the life
as they can catch the food.
And maybe me too,
as they might do, I love the quiet,
The great calm sea,
but my fate is to live
flashing with the storm.
